In class we were given a poem called “Birches” by Robert Frost. It was about an adult who wanted to go back to their childhood after realizing how much they’ve missed it due to how their life has been going so far due to choices in life leading to adulthood. We read the poem and while reading we analyzed and annotated it. We were also given another sheet of paper that had a quick write which we had to do before we started reading which was having us think of something that reminds us of our childhood. We also had to write down three themes and a personal connection to the poem.  When I am feeling down I like to go outside and sit next to a tree close to where I live because it helps me calm down whenever I feel down because it helps me remember how when I was little I would go around and climb on trees for fun and sit on them to rest
